With several rumors linking Italian attacker Stephan El Shaarawy with a move away from Roma, the 29-year-old may, after all, choose to remain in the capital until the expiry of his contract.
According to Corriere dello Sport, over recent weeks El Shaarawy had been approached by several Serie A sides including Atalanta, Fiorentina and Monza. However, for the moment the Italian winger has expressed his willingness to stay with the Giallorossi.
The veteran knows that his playing time will be limited with Spinazzola coming back from injury and Nicola Zalewski impressing everyone on the left flank.
However, the newspaper claims that El Shaarawy is willing to embrace his limited role within Jose Mourinho’s roster and provide necessary contributions off the bench whenever the situation will require it.
Given his age, the player will evaluate his future as his contract with Roma expires next year, but for the moment the ex-Milan attacker wants to continue playing in the capital.
