Stephan El Shaarawy willing to lower wages to extend Roma stay

Stephan El Shaarawy proved once again last night his reliability in moments of need. The experienced winger replaced Nicolo Zaniolo in Roma’s starting eleven against Spezia, scoring a goal to open the game and providing the Giallorossi with key passes and dribbles in the opponents’ half.

The future of the Italian attacker remains uncertain as he enters the final months of his contract. However, according to Italian journalist Francesco Balzani, El Shaarawy would be willing to lower his current wages in order to extend his stay at the capital club.

Roma are yet to hold talks with the player’s entourage but the club’s management could reach out before the expiry of his contract in June.
