Stephan El Shaarawy is looking to return to the pitch after missing the last few weeks due to injury. The Italian winger is also looking to extend his stay in the Italian capital.
As reported by Il Messaggero, El Shaarawy has entered the final year of his contract which will expire in June next year.
The 29-year-old is reportedly keen on continuing his career with the capital club and has therefore opened to the possibility of lowering his wages. This would allow Roma to offer him an additional year or two.
However, the newspaper reports that the player’s future remains uncertain and a lot will depend on El Shaarawy’s physical condition going forward.
