Stephan El Shaarawy with a chance to start vs Sampdoria

Andy Mattioli

Roma’s busy schedule is forcing Jose Mourinho to implement several changes to his starting eleven from game to game. The Portuguese technician is yet to decide who will lead Roma’s attack in tonight’s Serie A engagement with Sampdoria between Andrea Belotti and Tammy Abraham.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Stephan El Shaarawy may get his first start since the injury that sidelined him for almost a month. The Italian winger could take Leonardo Spinazzola’s place on the left flank while Nicola Zalewski will continue to feature on the right.

Rick Karsdorp travelled with the team to Genova a month after undergoing meniscus surgery. The Dutchman is reportedly looking at a return to the team’s starting line-up in the upcoming showdown with Napoli.
