Szczesny unlikely to be made permanent

Il Corriere dello Sport: He’s enjoying his football and a protagonist for the Giallorossi. Roma will find it difficult to let him go but soon they must face the inevitable, Wojciech Szczesny will likely not remain at the club beyond this season.

Arsenal are unlikely to let the player leave on loan again and it appears Roma won’t be able to meet the English club’s asking price for the player of nearly €20 million. Roma, though, are prepared for the situation. The club and Spalletti invested heavily in Alisson, who is enjoying Italy and learning the ways of Europe via the European League. Roma would very much like to keep the Polish stopper but it’s unlikely this scenario is feasible.
