Talks to begin for Manolas’ renewal, Emerson may also get a new contract

Il Corriere dello Sport reaffirmed today that Kostas Manolas is set to remain at Roma.

The Greek either seemingly changed his mind or realized that there was no desire to move at all. Now, his agent will begin talks with Roma and his renewal could arrive in the coming days and follow the renewals of De Rossi and Strootman. Manolas has lowered his demands and is now asking for €2.5 million plus bonuses. It seems the psychology of the player changed at “Totti Day” as Manolas was one of the few players in tears at the departure of the captain, perhaps it was he who rediscovered his love for the Giallorossi.

Meanwhile, the Giallorossi are also eyeing a new contract for Emerson Palmieri and nearly doubling his current €400,000 net wages.
