RomaPress – Roma’s pursuit of Davide Frattesi is continuing this weekend as the capital club looks to secure another reinforcement.
Roma executive Tiago Pinto met with Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevale numerous times this past week regarding the deal for the young midfielder and those talks are ongoing today.
The capital club already have an agreement in place with Frattesi for a four-year contract but there’s still some hurdles to overcome before the deal is finalised.
Sassuolo and Roma still haven’t agreed on the final cost of the operation though they’re hopeful progress can be made this weekend.
The Neroverdi want the overall cost of the deal to reach €35 million—a figure much higher than Roma’s current offer.
One of the reasons for the gulf is the clubs’ disagreement on the valuation that should be placed on 18 year-old Roma midfielder Cristian Volpato.
Sassuolo are willing to include the youngster into the deal as a way to lower their cash demand but they consider Roma’s valuation of him inflated.
