Talks between Roma, Torino for Shomurodov reach deadlock

Negotiations between Roma and Torino for a deal involving Giallorossi attacker Eldor Shomurodov are at standstill.

The two clubs have been unable to reach an agreement for the formula that would allow Shomurodov to join Ivan Juric’s team.

According to Tuttosport, Torino president Urbano Cairo has personally vetoed the inclusion of an obligation in an initial loan deal for the ex-Genoa striker. The Granata do not want to end up paying over €10 million for a player who has struggled to get any playing time for the past year and a half.

Torino are only willing to sign Shomurodov on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.
