Roma are working on the signing of Spanish winger Rodrigo Riquelme from Atletico Madrid.
After making initial inquiries for him and holding talks with his agent, Roma seem to have gone all-in on the 24-year-old attacker.
With Daniele De Rossi’s blessing, Roma have entered talks with Atletico, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Negotiations are progressing although slowly given Atletico’s demands.
Riquelme is not an untouchable player for Atletico Madrid, but he is one of those on whom the Spanish club would like to build the future around, as they aim for rejuvenating Diego Simeone’s roster.
To convince the Spanish club, significant sums will be needed, since the estimated pricetag for Riquelme is €30 million.
