Talks over Veretout’s renewal put on hold, Fiorentina at the window

Recently, a decision was taken at Trigoria to put on hold talks related to Jordan Veretout’s contract renewal, reports calciomercato.com.

The Italian sports outlet claims that Veretout’s inconsistent performances and recent drop in form has made Roma reconsider the much-talked about contract extension for the French midfielder.

The Giallorossi are now reportedly willing to evaluate offers for the 28-year-old who recently drew interest from the Premier League as well as his former club, Fiorentina.

In fact, the Viola seem intent on pursuing Veretout in the summer. After three seasons in the capital, the Frenchman could be on his way back to Florence.
