Tammy Abraham could anticipate return by wearing face mask

Tammy Abraham’s status for Thursday night’s crucial Europa League return leg with RB Salzburg remains uncertain.

After suffering a powerful blow to the eye and suffering an injured eyelid which required six stitches in the aftermath of Roma-Hellas Verona, Tammy Abraham is hoping to shorten his recovery time for Thursday night.

The initial prognosis for his return was of around 10 days, but Sky Sport reports Abraham could anticipate them by wearing a carbon face mask. The decision, however, will be entirely his as it will depend on the level of comfort provided by the mask in relation to the painful eye.
