Roma forward Tammy Abraham was asked about the upcoming friendly in Israel with Antonio Conte’s Tottenham in an interview with the club’s official website.
“Playing against a team like Tottenham is always nice, a team I’ve batted with thousands of times.”
“They started their preparations before us, they have more energy, and they are a little further ahead in their physical condition.”
He added, “But in football there is no excuse: these games serve to find the right condition and to have us ready for the first game of the season.”
On Roma’s preseason progress, Abraham commented, “We’re fine, we’re training hard. The preparations have been tiring, we run a lot, but everything is going well.”
“There have been few injuries and we are finding the right degree of understanding as a team. We’re getting to know the new players and they’re getting to know us.”
