Roma striker Tammy Abraham helped the Giallorossi in securing a draw at the Mapei Stadium with a goal from the penalty spot. The Englishman spoke to the club’s official channels following the final whistle.
“I am very disappointed, it’s good to have avoided defeat but there is still considerable disappointment,” said Abraham.
“I know the quality we have and we should win games like these. I am pleased to have made my contribution with a goal but we have to fight harder and play with confidence and today we didn’t. In the end we equalized thanks to Cristante’s goal and I hope we can start from here.”
“Confidence plays a crucial role. Sometimes the game goes in the direction you want, sometimes it doesn’t. For most of the game we were in control but we made two mistakes and conceded two goals.”
“We have to win the next game, for ourselves and for the fans.”
“As the boss said, this is a great group, a real family and this is the most important thing. We win, draw and lose as a team and we need everyone’s support.”
“This team is still work in progress, we need the fans to continue to support us, coach and players. We need trust, in every game we try to win. We are still working to grow as a team and I think we will succeed in the end, there are still many games to go.”
