Tammy Abraham disappointed with World Cup exclusion by England

After being excluded from Gareth Southgate’s final squad list for the World Cup in Qatar, Tammy Abraham joined his Roma teammates in the club’s trip to Japan which will include two friendlies with Nagoya Grampus and Yokohama Marinos.

The English striker spoke in a brief press conference appearance about the upcoming second half of the season.

“I’m not that eager to play again, to be honest with you. Right now I’m enjoying the World Cup and training for January. I would have loved to be there but it’s something that has made me grow as a footballer and a person.”

“I’m still young. This exclusion brought me back down to earth and I said to myself: ‘I still have so much to do.’ I hope to make the next World Cup.”
