Roma attacker Tammy Abraham was able to play a good chunk of last night’s win over Milan as he replaced injured Romelu Lukaku early on in the first half.

The Englishman, who recently completed his recovery from an ACL injury, spoke to Roma TV after the game.

“I can’t find the words to express what I’m feeling right now, I’ve played with many good players but this is one of the best teams I’ve ever been a part of, thanks to the sense of cohesion and passion that can be felt among all of us. From the coach to the players, the fans, everyone.”

“This is an extraordinary club, we put everything we had on the pitch, I’m not just talking about those who played but also those who remained on the bench, the fans, everyone supported us.”

“It was difficult to play so many minutes because I wasn’t ready at that moment. I had to prepare quickly, even from a mental point of view, to enter the pitch. I tried to help the team as much as possible, I think I did a good job although I can do better. But I’m always happy to help the team.”

“Bayer Leverkusen? They are a good team, but so are we. We are confident, I think it will be a good match. My teammates and I fear no one. When we’re on our best day we’re an excellent team. We must face Bayer aware of our strength, we will have the fans to support us. It will be a good match, but we don’t fear them.”
