Tammy Abraham edges closer to accepting Roma move

John Solano

Tammy Abraham is edging closer to a move to the Italian capital and joining Roma from Chelsea.

Sky Sport reports that following a series of meetings with Roma executive Tiago Pinto, the Englishman has grown convinced of accepting the transfer to Italy rather than wait on Arsenal.

Pinto met with Abraham and his representatives several times over the past 48 hours, hoping to remove any doubts the youngster may have about moving abroad.

The Portuguese director stressed to the attacker that he would play a starring role in the club’s project. His pressing appears to have worked, but the coming hours will be decisive.

Roma and Chelsea already have an agreement in place and are waiting on the player to make a decision as to whether or not he’ll accept the move.
