Roma striker Tammy Abraham is closing in on his long-awaited return to the pitch after missing the last months of action due to an ACL injury suffered in June 2023.
During yesterday’s training session at Trigoria, Abraham was back with the rest of the team, partially training with the group for the first time since the injury.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Abraham is still far away from seeing any significant playing time but both him, De Rossi and Roma’s medical staff are trying to make it possible for the Englishman to feature for at least a few minutes in the Europa League quarterfinals with Milan.
Abraham, at least in these first few days, will alternate work with the team, paying attention and managing the workload, with a personalized one to avoid overloads and putting too much stress on the muscles.
Roma’s goal is to have him back on the field in a couple of weeks.
