Earlier today, Roma unveiled their newest signing in striker Tammy Abraham.
The player released an interview to the club where he details his feelings on the move, the conversations he held with Tiago Pinto and the objectives for the years to come.
“I feel good. I’ve followed Roma quite a bit in the Champions League. The teammates are fantastic. I haven’t had a chance to train yet, but I can’t wait to get started.”
When asked what convinced him to sign with Roma, Abraham answered:
“You know when a club really wants you. The moment Roma became interested in me, they called me as well as my agent every day. As I said before, I already knew the club very well, and some of my former teammates at Chelsea said it’s a great club and so I had high expectations.”
On what Tiago Pinto told him his role at the club would be:
“Roma deserve to play in the Champions League, to be amongst the top 4 in Italy, to play for trophies. I am here to reach those objectives. I’ve won trophies in the past and I want to return to that level and help Roma get back to where they deserve to be.”
On what Rudiger and Emerson told him about Roma:
“They loved everything about it, especially Rudiger. He told me he’d be happy to do it all over again and re-live his experience at Roma. Hearing that filled me with confidence. As I said before, I’ve felt great ever since arriving here, I just have to do the best I can.”
