Tammy Abraham: “Mourinho can say anything he wants.”

Roma attacker Tammy Abraham shared some insight into his rapport with Jose Mourinho, once again calling the Special One his “uncle from Rome.”

In the interview with Il Messaggero, when asked about Mourinho’s repeated criticism of the striker’s form this season, Abraham responded, “He can do and say anything he pleases. He’s a point of reference for me. He’s my uncle from Rome.”

“He wants the best for me and when I’m not at the level he wants he’ll push me around and motivate me,” Abraham added.

“When I perform and play well he still isn’t satisfied and that’s exactly what I need. I don’t need someone who pats me on the back every time I step on the pitch. I need someone like Mourinho who shows his confidence in me every day.”
