Tammy Abraham is back on the bench for Roma nine months after suffering a knee injury.

The Englishman – who went down in June of last year with a torn ACL on the last matchday of the season – is set to appear on the bench in tonight’s fixture with Sassuolo at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, reports Filippo Biafora of Il Tempo.

The appearance will be purely symbolic and important from a morale standpoint – Daniele De Rossi wants to make Abraham feel part of the group again as the attacker nears the final phase of his recovery.
