Roma’s win over Verona saw Tammy Abraham exit the match in its early stages after suffering a strong blow his left eye.
The Englishman was promptly replaced by Andrea Belotti and taken to the dressing room where he was looked after the club’s medical staff.
As informed by Filippo Biafora of Il Tempo, Abraham suffered an injury to his lower eyelid which required stitches.
Abraham himself shared an update via his Instagram story. “Thank you for your messages,” he wrote. “I’ll be okay.”
