Tammy Abraham says “it’s time to repay Roma fans” after scoring versus Sassuolo

Roma attacker Tammy Abraham returned to his goal-scoring ways in last night’s midweek fixture with Sassuolo, despite the team conceding only a few minutes later and leaving the Mapei Stadium with a disappointing draw in their hands.

After the game, the Englishman completed his round of media appearances by talking to the club’s official channel.

“I was coming off a bad a stretch with very little confidence and very little goals. ‘d trouble sleeping due to the way I was playing.”

“Everyone knows what I can do and what I offer to the team, and today I wanted to show it to everyone, especially after the lost derby. Today you could see, when I entered, the anger inside of me. I’ll come back and prove it again. It’s nice to score, to help the team, especially after not scoring for a long time in Serie A.”

“We wanted to win and I would have been happier if we had won. But this is football, now we have to give deliver in the next match before the break. We need the 3 points and we will do what we can. After there will be a break and we have to come back in the best possible way, I also have to come back stronger.”

“The supporters? I have said it in many interviews, I love Roma fans, even in difficult moments they have always supported and encouraged me. The newspapers can say what they want. Everyone knows what I can do. I thank the fans and it’s time to repay them like last season.”
