Roma forward Tammy Abraham expressed his hunger for another trophy ahead of the Europa League semifinal with Bayer.
In an interview with UEFA, Abraham previewed Thursday night’s first leg with Leverkusen.
“They are a very good team. I’ve met them in the past and I know what to expect.”
“They play great football and have an outstanding coach and very good players. We know it will be a difficult clash on a difficult field, so we should play our best football and focus on ourselves.”
“Winning another trophy would be a dream,” he continued.
“When I arrived I said I wanted to win a cup before I left and I didn’t expect to win it so soon. Seeing the joy of everyone in the city was fantastic. It was what the fans deserved, after all they went through.”
“Europa League is difficult. It’s something I’ve known since I was a child and it would be nice to go all the way, hoping to lift the cup at the end.”
