Roma striker Tammy Abraham was named player of the month for March by the AIC (Associazione dei Calciatori in Italia).
The 24 year-old finished ahead of Fiorentina midfielder Lucas Torreira, Milan’s Ismail Bennacer, and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen after carrying the Giallorossi in recent weeks in both Serie A and the Conference League.
Abraham racked up four goals in five matches across all competitions in March, including a last-minute equaliser in the second leg against Vitesse. The goal proved decisive and secured Roma’s place in the Conference League quarterfinals.
Three days later he continued to play the role of hero against in-city rivals Lazio in the Derby della Capitale. Abraham scored twice within the first 25 minutes and led Roma to a demanding 3-0 victory over Maurizio Sarri’s men.
