Tammy Abraham’s future in Italy remains uncertain

The future of Roma attacker Tammy Abraham remains uncertain as the striker continues his recovery from a long-term knee injury.

Prior to his ACL tear in June, Abraham had been linked with an exit from the capital club with the possibility of returning to England.

The injury put those plans on hold, although now media outlets have reignited the rumors concerning a potential return to the Premier League for the ex-Chelsea man.

Additionally, Roma – as reported by calciomercato.com – are also evaluating Abraham’s fit with the team beyond this season. The English striker, in fact, could be sacrificed by the club to obtain the money needed to purchase Lukaku on a permanent deal.

Lukaku seems to have convinced Roma to make him a key player for their long-term project, but Chelsea’s asking price would require the Giallorossi to secure Abraham’s sale first.
