RomaPress – The negotiations between Roma president and The Friedkin Group CEO, Dan Friedkin, continued this past weekend for the sale of the club.

Sources at both Roma and The Friedkin Group confirmed to RomaPress that a teleconference took place on Saturday between the lawyers of the two Americans in the hopes of “unlocking” the negotiation.

Legal representatives for the parties have been in constant contact, albeit minor, since Pallotta rejected Friedkin’s latest offer for the club in May. Saturday, though, represented the first significant contact between the sides in nearly two months.

The Friedkin Group has every intention of making one final attempt to acquire the club from Pallotta, but it remains to be seen what figures the Bostonian is willing to accept: there is still a sizable gap between offer and asking price.

At the moment, Friedkin represents the only viable option for Pallotta. Recently, the Miami-based Joseph DaGrosa was rumored to be interested in acquiring the Giallorossi, but he hasn’t taken any concrete steps in order to do so.
