A terminally ill Roma supporter named Edoardo has asked the Giallorossi to fight for him and light the Europa League trophy in his honor.

In recent days, radio program Te la do io Tokyo received a phone call from Edoardo who did not reveal any further details about himself beyond his terminal condition. Upon hearing the following interview, Roma have began looking for him, in order to invite him to Trigoria and to attend the team’s upcoming home games at Stadio Olimpico.

“I have a terminal illness, such that it doesn’t cause me to die but the quality of life is what it is.”

“I have already made arrangements with a clinic in Switzerland, which sent me the dates. The Swiss are strange, it’s like I’m planning a trip to a spa.”

“One of the dates they proposed to me is May 22nd. And something clicked in my head, I said to myself: “But I have something to do on May 22nd. Then I remembered, it’s the final in Dublin.”

“If there is one thing I would like, even if it is the last… I’ve done everything I can do, but if there’s one thing I want, it’s this fucking trophy.”

“Forza Roma as always, and let’s try to win it,” he concluded.
