RomaPress – Roma’s Serie A campaign kicks-off in just a couple of weeks, but they will find themselves without starlet Nicolo Zaniolo for an extended period of time.
The attacker arrived at Villa Stuart hospital in Rome this morning to undergo an MRI following yesterday’s knee injury suffered during the Azzurri’s 1-0 victory over the Netherlands in the Nations League.
The MRI confirmed everyone’s worst fear: Zaniolo has once again suffered a torn ACL in his left knee.
Zaniolo suffered the same injury in January, albeit in the opposite knee. He will undergo surgery tomorrow and is expected to be out a minimum of five months.
