RomaPress – Today is the decisive day for the future of Atalanta defender Roger Ibañez. The agent of the Brazilian defender, Frederico Morães, has arrived within the hour at Trigoria to finalise the last details of his client’s transfer to the capital.
Morães has been in-between Milano and Roma during the last five days since arriving from South America to sort out the next destination of his client. Bologna nearly closed a deal for Ibañez, however, Roma’s superior wage offer ultimately tipped the scales in their favour.
Roma already has an agreement in place with Atalanta on the basis on a loan with an obligation to buy totaling €10 million. Ibañez will sign a 4.5 years contract with the Giallorossi — however, there is still one minor detail left to sort out that is related to the commission being paid to Morães.
Assuming the parties can resolve this issue, Ibañez will likely be the next acquisition of the Giallorossi.
