Giampiero Pocetta, the agent of Sassuolo’s Gregoire Defrel and Lorenzo Pellegrini, spoke today to Tuttomercatoweb about his clients:
“The Giallorossi were interested in both Defrel and Pellegrini (for January): an agreement wasn’t reached for the first, while for the second there was not even a negotiation and everything was pushed back to June. Sassuolo did not want to give him away in January. I read that Defrel put his foot down in order to go to Roma, I started to laugh. Perhaps many do not know him, he never forced anything and hasn’t played lately because of a simple muscle tweak.”
“A possible re-opening for Defrel in June? I do not know. Defrel is a strong player, but in the summer the same problem for Sassuolo will resurface, but with different valuations than in January.”
“Pellegrini? Roma have an option for first refusal for €10 million. In June, the Giallorossi will probably try again to bring him back but I don’t know if a deal will go through.”
