RomaPress – Roma defender Roger Ibañez is starting to garner recognition for his performances both in Italy and abroad, but the Giallorossi are determined to keep hold of the Brazilian jewel, who joined the club in January.
It’s true that several Premier League clubs, including Leicester City, have made approaches for the 21 year-old, but to date, Roma have rejected all attempts for the defender.
Today, Frederico Moraes, the agent of Ibañez, spoke briefly to RomaPress to discuss the former Fluminense man.
Moraes revealed that he has landed in Italy and will travel to Rome tomorrow to meet with his client.
”I’m already in Milan and I’ll probably arrive in Rome tomorrow to visit Ibañez,” he said.
”His future? He has a long term contract in place. He’s happy at Roma”.
The Giallorossi purchased Ibañez from Atalanta in January for a paltry sum of €10 million. The player has made a total of 12 appearances since arriving in the Italian capital and has been impressive playing in the middle of manager Paulo Fonseca’s three-man defence.
