Sevilla central defender, Diego Carlos, is one of the several names that José Mourinho is interested in bringing to Roma.
The Brazilian, who joined the Spanish side in 2019, has been linked with a potential move to the Italian throughout the past few weeks.
However, his agent Edilson Luigi spoke today and revealed that the 28 year-old will be remaining with Sevilla and sign a new deal.
“Diego is happy at Sevilla. He likes the city, the club, and the fans,” he said to ABC.
“Right now we’re focused on signing a contract renewal for another year, hopefully this is finalised soon. Virtually everything is agreed upon, and that’s what interests us most. Everything that has happened to Diego since he arrived in Sevilla has been positive. He will play in the Champions League for the second consecutive year and has won the Europa League. It is clear that he is happy at Sevilla.”
“Nobody from Roma has spoken to us but we’re aware of the interest from them, yes.”
