De Roon has officially been a new Roma player since yesterday.
Surprisingly, within 48 hours, the Roman club closed on the 1991-born player from Atalanta and loaned El Aynaoui to Leipzig for €4 million with an option to buy (€25 million).
This opportunity arose this weekend, and Gasperini particularly appreciated it: “We’re filling a midfield spot with a player who is certainly solid and valuable. He also gives us the opportunity to focus our efforts on another role, while still maintaining his great value in midfield.”
The Dutch midfielder, according to Filippo Biafora, has signed a one-year contract and will earn €2 million net. These figures fully fall within Roma’s new parameters.
