Speaking to DAZN before kick off against Torino, Roma executive Tiago Pinto refused to address the transfer rumors linking the capital club Paulo Dybala.
The Argentine will leave Juve next month after the two sides couldn’t agree to a contract renewal, making him a free agent.
“I know I’m viewed as boring for journalists, but at least I’m consistent,” he joked.
“We have to be focused on tonight’s match and discussing the transfer market takes away from that focus. We’ll have three months to discuss transfers after Wednesday.”
He also addressed the situation of Henrikh Mkhitaryan. The Armenian’s deal with Roma expires in June, however, they still haven’t come to terms on a new contract.
“Mkhi is focused on recovering for the final. He and I know each other well and I am 100% certain it’s a lie that he’s in discussions with Inter (regarding a free transfer).”
“He’s going to do everything imaginable in order to be ready for Wednesday. But again, I’m not going to discuss the transfer market.”
