Roma executive Tiago Pinto reiterated the importance of the Giallorossi’s showdown this evening against Vitesse.
The capital club face the Dutch side tonight in the Netherlands for the first leg of their Conference League Round of 16 tie.
“Why are so many first choice players starting? Luckily everyone is available because we don’t have many injuries,” Pinto told Sky Sport.
“This makes it easier for the Mister to manage the team. So he chose players he believed are best suited for this match. We have a lot of ambition in this competition and we want to go as far as possible and, if possible, win it.”
He added, “But every game is like a final for us. It’s the same for our place in the league: we want to win as much as possible to try and close the gap.”
“We have to take things game by game, this is the mentality we must have.”
