Tiago Pinto discusses Dybala’s arrival, Belotti rumors ahead of season opener

Roma general manager Tiago Pinto was interviewed by DAZN before the Giallorossi’s season opening clash against Salernitana.

The capital club traveled to Salerno to face-off against Davide Nicola’s men with marquee summer addition Paulo Dybala slated to make his full debut.

“I think Dybala’s pumped up and incredibly motivated. He’s happy with the decision he made to join us,” he said.

“He needs peace of mind and serenity after spending so many years in another club, but we’re each very happy to have the other.”

“Perhaps tonight’s a bit more emotional for him but he’ll be settled by the time the whistle blows. I’m glad he’s here.”

Finally, the Portuguese executive was asked about the club’s remaining transfer market plans, including the possibility of acquiring free agent attacker Andrea Belotti.

“All that’s missing from tonight is a victory. That’s the mindset we’ll have in the coming matches, we’ll discuss the market on September 2nd.”
