Roma General Manager Tiago Pinto is trying to secure a deal for Empoli starlet Tommaso Baldanzi.

After yesterday’s reports of Roma’s interest in the 20-year-old emerged, the club’s GM is reportedly travelling to Milan to meet with Baldanzi’s entourage.

According to ReteSport, Pinto wants to secure Baldanzi as his parting gift to Roma, seeing as he is set to leave capital club in February after concluding his 3-year stint.

The Portuguese executive is in direct contact with Baldanzi’s agents who will now work to assess what Empoli’s demands are for the Italian midfielder.

In the meantime, Pinto will also meet with other agents and intermediaries as the January windows begins to wind to an end.
