Andrea Belotti has officially become a new member of the Giallorossi as the former Torino captain signed his Roma contract as a free agent. In the official announcement, General Manager Tiago Pinto praised Belotti for showing determination in joining Mourinho’s side.
“Andrea is one of the most prolific forwards in Serie A and his addition further strengthens our attacking ranks,” Pinto said in the statement.
“His determination in choosing Roma has really struck a chord with all of us and today we are absolutely delighted to be able to begin this new adventure,” he concluded, alluding to the numerous offers from abroad that Belotti is rumored to have rejected in favor of a move to the Italian capital.
Earlier reports claimed that the 28-year-old striker declined proposals from Wolverhampton, Nice and Galatasaray.
