Earlier today, before entering Trigoria, General Manager Tiago Pinto was stopped by a group of fans to take photos. When asked about the market, and more specifically about Matías Viña of Palmeiras, the Portuguese director said:
“Matías Viña is on his way.”
Fans proceeded to ask him about Granit Xhaka, a long-time target of Roma. His reply was brief:
“We’ll see.”
Before moving on he added:
“The market is going well. We have to be patient.”
Roma are closing in on Matías Viña of Palmeiras for a reported fee of around €13 million including bonuses.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are still waiting to give Xhaka the green light after securing Lokonga, with the Swiss international pushing for the move. Roma are hoping to complete the signing within the end of this week.
