Earlier today General Manager Tiago Pinto met with Pellegrini’s agent, Giampiero Pocetta.
According to Sky Sport, the meeting was held in order to open talks for the 24-year-old’s renewal. His contract is set to expire in the summer of 2022, and Roma want to extend the services of their captain.
The meeting went well, and Pinto hopes to finalize the renewal by the end of the transfer window. The parties will meet again in the coming weeks to discuss further details of the renewal.
Moreover, Pinto discussed two other players with the agent: the Primavera star Nicola Zalewski and Riccardo Ciervo. For them a loan is a realistic possibility as Roma want to count on them long-term.
