Roma executive Tiago Pinto claims the Giallorossi are motivated to extend their unbeaten league run and claim a scalp of Inter this evening at the San Siro.
The Portuguese general manager weighed in before kick-off as Jose Mourinho’s men look to upset his former club Inter, who they’ve lost to twice this season.
“We’re the only Italian team left in Europe so the manager is speaking at least once a week: this is why he didn’t give a pre-match press conference,” he told DAZN.
“I feel really pumped up and motivated for tonight. And we also know it’s a special match for Mourinho due to the history he made with Inter.”
Continuing, “However, I’m sure there’s not a single Roma player on the pitch that wants to win more than him.”
“Right now the most important thing for us is ending the season as strong as possible. We have to take advantage of the good run of form we’re on to try and win all the remaining games.”
“Our strategy on the transfer market has been clear since day one and that’s not going to change. The same goes for contract renewals, which is why I’m not going to speak about Mkhitaryan.”
“Henrikh is an important player for us. There’s no issues between he and the club—we both agreed on a time to discuss the situation.”
