Roma General Manager Tiago Pinto spoke to Sky Sport ahead of tonight’s kick-off to Servette-Roma.
The Portuguese executive was asked about Lukaku’s future and Smalling’s return from injury.
“It’s too early to talk about Lukaku’s future. Let’s enjoy him until the end of the season, try not to do as you did with Dybala last season where every time you asked me about his release clause.”
“It is true that in 2023 we haven’t won much when playing away from home, we did not maintain the same level as we do at home, but if we put together all the games of last season and this one, the numbers must be interpreted differently.”
“With Real Sociedad and Bayer Leverkusen we did not win, but we achieved the result we wanted, we can always improve especially if we have more players available, we will do better even away from home.”
“Smalling? It’s a complex situation, we are waiting for him to get better. We miss him, 4 months ago we were happy with his renewal, we are working with the medical department and the player to solve these problems.”
