Roma GM Tiago Pinto concluded today’s press conference with an insightful remark regarding the recent criticism aimed at him.

The Portuguese director, in fact, found himself at the receiving end of insults from some Roma supporters over the course of the summer window.

In today’s press conference, Pinto discussed this particular aspect related to his duties as the man responsible for most of Roma’s transfer business.

“There is a clear lack of balance in judgement in this city, both on and off the pitch. Lack of perspective,” said Pinto, referring to the team’s poor results in their first three games of the season and the subsequent backlash from fans and media alike.

“The day we got Azmoun I received over 100 messages on Instagram, telling me to leave, telling me I stink. Perhaps I stink. But then I sign Lukaku and they compliment me, calling me the King of Rome. We must remain calm in such situations, and remain balanced.”
