Roma General Manager Tiago Pinto was interviewed ahead tonight’s kick-off at the Stadio Olimpico where Roma are scheduled to face an impressive Empoli side.
The Portuguese director addressed tonight’s match as well as Chris Smalling’s contractual situation.
“Serie A is a very competitive league,” he told DAZN before the game. “Today we want to give a gift to the fans who filled the stadium once again. We have to win and take home the three points.”
“Smalling? The ball is in his court. We both want to continue working together. The option to extend his contract is there and it’s up to him to decide if he wants to use it.”
