Minutes before kick-off at the Stadio Olimpico, General Manager Tiago Pinto discussed Jose Mourinho’s impact on Roma’s European campaigns and addressed Diego Llorente’s first start with the Giallorossi in tonight’s showdown with Real Sociedad.
“As we have always said, time is very important for sports projects,” Pinto told Sky Sport before the game. “Two weeks ago we read that Mourinho hasn’t lost at home for 9 years, this is thanks to his experience. The results are thanks to his professionalism and his experience.”
“Llorente? He is strong technically. He comes from the Premier League where physicality is very important. He got here and needed some time to adjust and today he can prove his worth.”
