Roma General Manager Tiago Pinto discussed the importance of tonight’s Derby della Capitale minutes away from kick-off.
In his pre-match interview with SportMediaset, Pinto said, “Today is a final, when you play a match of this importance it’s in or out for both teams, and the derby is exciting and stressful in of itself. We want to do our best to move forward in the tournament and give joy to our fans.”
“Tonight’s will be my last derby,” added Pinto who is set to leave Roma at the end of the month. “Let’s hope we can win, this has nothing to do with the players, they are focused on the match.”
“We have to win, future evaluations will be made later,” he remarked. “The market? The Settlement Agreement requires us to off-load players before being able to sign someone.”
