Leading up to the official opening of this year’s summer transfer window, Roma are working to secure the services of Valencia attacker Gonçalo Guedes.
According to Filippo Biafora of Il Tempo, the club’s GM Tiago Pinto has flown to Milan where he will meet with various agents and try to finalise several deals.
One such meetings will involve superstar agent Jorge Mendes who is responsible for overseeing Guedes’ transfer out of Valencia.
The Spanish club need to off-load a certain number of players before June 30th and Guedes might be one of them.
The Portuguese player is pushing for an exit and Roma are on top of his wishlist.
Valencia’s initial request of €40 million has been promptly dismissed by Roma. Pinto is willing to include Carles Pèrez in the deal, lowering the financial part of the deal for Guedes.
Biafora reports that Roma’s next offer may be €20 million plus Carles Pèrez.
Pèrez is reportedly eager to join Gennaro Gattuso’s side and would approve of the move.
