Roma general manager Tiago Pinto appeared on DAZN just moments before the capital club kick-off against Inter.

The Giallorossi and Jose Mourinho square off against the Nerazzurri at the San Siro this evening, where they haven’t won since 2017.

“There’s never a wrong time or moment for such a huge match like this to be played,” he began.

“We had two weeks off but we had a lot of guys play with their national teams which makes it tough to get a sense of what sort of form they’re in.”

“But we’re very motivated tonight, we’re beginning a stretch of 12 games in 44 days. There’s no better place for a match like this.”

He continued, “Our struggles against the big teams? All matches are worth three points but it’s true that playing a match like this at the San Siro against Inter isn’t the same as others.”

“When I got here I was told Roma couldn’t even beat Atalanta or win a Derby, both of which we’ve overcome.”

“I’m certain come the end of the season we’ll have beaten some of the big names but we must also win the others. The season is all about continuity.”
