Tommaso Baldanzi could replace El Shaarawy in Roma’s line-up

Tommaso Baldanzi could end up making his debut for the Giallorossi later today as Roma face Cagliari in a must-win game at Stadio Olimpico.

The club’s latest January signing is in fact possibly looking to sneak into Roma’s starting formation.

According to Il Messaggero, Baldanzi has shown very good things in training and Daniele De Rossi is pondering his inclusion in tonight’s line-up.

One of the options would be to replace Stephan El Shaarawy with Baldanzi who would play behind the likes of Paulo Dybala and Romelu Lukaku.

This seems to be De Rossi’s idea going forward as Baldanzi is yet to reach 100% match fitness following his move from Empoli.
