Torino and Cagliari express interest in Diawara

Amadou Diawara – despite not breaking through the ranks of Jose Mourinho – continues to draw interest from several sides, in Italy and abroad.

The 24-year-old is pursued by Valencia who have so far only formulated a dry loan offer, Sampdoria, and now, as reported by Il Tempo, Torino and Cagliari have also joined the race.

The newspaper reports that General Manager Tiago Pinto is pressuring the player – who’s currently away on international duty at AFCON – and his entourage into accepting an offer before the January window closes.

Diawara’s potential exit coincides with Roma possibly making a last-minute deal to reinforce Jose Mourinho’s midfield for the remainder of the season.
